This is our way to post/communicate and show our life as a new family, with our friends & families who live both near and far!

Tigger and everything that goes with him....

Vincent is becoming more aware of his surroundings! He loves to observe, loves to watch television, play with rattles and be in his bouncy seat! Here's Vin on Friday, looking at mommy wondering what she's doing--because she is constantly taking pictures!
Watching Vincent's social developments over the last couple of weeks have truly been amazing. He went from simply crying for everything to laughing, making sounds to communicate, learning to put his hands out to be picked up, grabbing rattles and even to wanting to sit up on our laps to be a part of conversations!

(Our favorite play place, the bouncy chair!)

AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.......HALLOWEEN PICTURES!!

As you can see, Tigger is pooped from a lot of trick-or-treating.

Most people thought that we were starting young with Vincent, but, he was into it! He would smile at people when they answered the door, even! He brought smiles to folks faces throughout the cold evening. And mommy and daddy were pleased as punch to share in his new-found fun!

Tigger was really easy to photograph--all the excitement, he was tired when he came home!

Here is Mike's big contribution to Halloween!
He and Vincent went to Meijer and picked out their pumpkin--and Mikey carved away!
Isn't it scary?

Since it has been snowing in West Michigan on and off this fall already, we had to get a new bunting for Vin to wear outside. He looked like Mr. Tick-man, and was not pleased about wearing it! You could watch his face go from smiling and bright to his lip pouting and tears welling up in his eyes! Too cute for words!

Now, he's ready for winter in Michigan!

Here are more pictures of Vin in the last week! See you all next week!

Vincent's Picture Update 11.3.06

Hi everyone! We know you have been waiting patiently for Vincent's new photos of the week! I will update them either tonight or tomorrow--hopefully being able to get some more posted so as to give you a variety!! They will consist of Tigger-man, snow suit/exploding tick-man, and classic Vincent.

The Poulsen-Fett Corner of the World!
July 22, 2006, it became "official": Michael Fett and Amy C. Poulsen were married in Holland, Michigan! It was a gala event, as so many of our friends and family were able to share in the occasion! Within 48 hours, little did we all know that we would be sharing our love with the birth of our son, Vincent--as he was not willing to come to this world without some coersion!
(Vin & GP on our visit to Richmond)
He is the first Grandchild to Cathleen (aka GM) and Kevin (aka GP) Poulsen of Richmond, VA on Amy's side. On Mikey's, the first grandchild to Joan and Brad Fett of Grand Haven, MI (better known as Grandma and Grandpa).
(Uncle Kyle & Vin napping)
Vincent's Uncle Kyle, Amy's brother, is also Vincent's Godfather. When not attending Eastern Michigan University, Kyle resides with Amy and Mikey! On Mikey's side, Vince has his Uncle Adam (Mike's brother) and Aunt Denice (our sister-in-law) living in Columbus, OH.
Vincent's Godmother is Amy's Aunt Natalie (GM's sister) of Wake Forest, NC. As well, Nat's husband David is Vin's Great Uncle!
Vincent has (surviving) two great grandmothers on Amy's side. Murphy, GP's mom, of Manahawkin, NJ. Although, Vin is her 2nd great-grandchild! Go Murphy!! GM's mom, Gloria (aka Grandma) is the other! New to the Great-Grandma thing but, to Amy and Kyle, they grew up with their great-grandparents well into their twenties! Great-Grandma Gloria (aka Aunt Glor to some) lives in Shelton, CT with her friend and partner, Harry Devlin! Congrats to Harry on Great-Grandpa! What a treat for Vincent!
Vincent's great-grandparents on Mikey's side live three blocks from them. They are Brad's parents, who also are new to being Great-Grandparents! How exciting for everyone!

Hello, all! Here he is--the apple of all our eyes, little Mr. Vincent Lauren Fett. Born 24 July, 2006 at 3:21pm, 9 lb. 5oz., 21 3/4 in, just a mere two days after Michael & I were married! The greatest 72 hours of our lives occurred that weekend!
Now, just past 3 mos. on 10.24.06, Vincent is outgrowing his 6 month clothing, eats as much as his daddy and loves the outdoors!

(Miss Molly)

Of course, no house with a Poulsen in it would go without the token Basset Hound, right? She is Vincent's Big Sister who also likes to demonstrate (on occasion) her feral hunting capabilities, falling in the pool and tearing up the nearest toilet paper roll to show Vincent how it's done!

Here's Mikey & Molly last year on one of our many trips to the local park---

Who do you think Vin looks like more, Mikey or Amy?

Vincent and Mommy gearing up for a brisk, fall walk!

Here we are, warm and cozy! Ready for our after-work walk and to look at the fall colors in west Michigan! He is wearing a bunting that belonged to me when I was little, given to us by my mom, aka. GM! Molly had to wait outside for the pictures to be taken because the very lilt of a leash blowing in the wind makes her crazy with excitement!

The week of 10.29.06

(HALLOWEEN)

Vincent will be "Tigger" this week, on his debut Trick-or-Treating episode this coming Tuesday! Mikey (Daddy) is looking forward to all the candy, as I (Mommy), look forward to Vincent seeing everyone in costume, since he is now old enough to enjoy the sights and variations!
